Donal Hackett
Donal Hackett, Employment Liaison Officer, University of Galway
Donal Hackett is the enterprise engagement lead for the Career Development Center within the University of Galway. He supports graduate employers across all sectors of the economy in building their brand presence and developing their talent pipelines on campus. Donal works closely with many leading Medtech companies based in Ireland.
Over the past 18 years, Donal has held strategic commercial and marketing roles within leading organisations such as Fujitsu Ireland, the Irish Management Institute, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Vulcan Solutions and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. Donal has Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Practice from the University of Galway and an honours bachelor's degree in marketing from the Atlantic Technological University. He will be commencing an MBA at the University of Galway in September 2023.
Donal has dedicated over 12 years to voluntary work within his local community. He is a director, governance board member and Deputy Team Leader of Galway Mountain Rescue CLG and a former Chairperson and board member of Kinvara Community Childcare Centre, an NGO employing over 30 childcare professionals in South Galway.
