Clem McLoughlin, Vice President, Medical Technologies & Healthcare, IDA Ireland
Clem McLoughlin manages IDA Ireland’s Medical Technologies & Healthcare portfolio with responsibility for the US Mid-West Territory (based in Ireland).
Clem has worked in IDA for 24 years across a variety of roles in IDA’s Strategic Property Division, Regional Business & Enterprise Development and in IDA’s Medical Technologies Department. During his IDA tenure Clem has led on delivering several strategic projects on behalf of IDA including the relocation and development of IDA's new Global HQ in Dublin and standing up Digital Manufacturing Ireland (DMI), Ireland's National Industry 5.0 Centre of Excellence.
As part of his current role, Clem’s focus is on winning new FDI Med Tech investment for Ireland in terms of New Name Companies and securing new mandates, and growing and developing the existing Irish Med Tech base through various transformation initiatives including R&D, Talent Development, Sustainability and Digital Transformation.
Clem studied Auctioneering, Valuations & Estate Agency in TU Dublin, Bolton Street graduating in 2000. More recently in 2018, Clem completed a Master’s Degree in International Business from the National College of Ireland.
