Dr. Michelle Tierney is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of SymPhysis Medical, a company focused on impactful palliative care solutions.
With over 15 years of life sciences research experience and a PhD in Chemistry, she has worked in ICON plc's Medical Affairs team.
After completing the University of Galway Bioinnovate program in 2018 with Co-Founder Tim Jones, they identified a need for a drainage device to address fluid build-up in late-stage cancer patients. Their device aims to increase independence, improve quality of life, and reduce hospitalizations for end-of-life patients.
