Alistair Gay is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, specialising in trade mark and design matters across a wide range of sectors including in the fields of automotives, computer software and systems, gaming and gambling, clothing, luxury goods, healthcare and personal care products, entertainment, hospitality, finance, insurance and regulatory affairs. Alistair advises clients across the full trade mark lifecycle from brand clearance to registration, renewals, opposition and cancellation matters. He regularly negotiates co-existence agreements or trade mark and domain name take-down matters for clients and has also provided litigation support to clients before European Courts and in the US.
He has considerable experience in the strategic management of international trade mark portfolios. Alistair is co-head of Keltie's trade mark practice having joined the firm in 1997, following two years with a Glasgow-based firm of patent and trade mark attorneys. He qualified in 1998 and has been a partner since 2003.
